Tether adds $70 million in Bitcoin reserves, increasing its holdings to 97,141 BTC
According to CoinDesk, on-chain data shows that Tether recently transferred 951 BTC to its Bitcoin reserve address, worth approximately $70 million at the time, bringing its total holdings to 97,141 BTC, valued at about $7.16 billion.
The related address is labeled as "Tether: BTC Reserve" and matches the address previously confirmed by Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino. This increase continues Tether's allocation strategy implemented since 2023, which involves investing up to 15% of realized operating profits into Bitcoin.
